Contribute something...?

On working days, you can visit us by appointment to bring in art, antiques, and household goods. We can also arrange transport. Please inquire about the costs and conditions for your consignment.

Input

During our opening hours, it is possible to bring in art, antiques, and household goods by appointment. A single item, a complete collection, or even an entire household inventory. Derksen offers you the option of delivering a home or room “broom clean”.

A quotation can be provided in advance for the clearance of household contents. All work is arranged by Derksen in a very transparent manner. Derksen guarantees a smooth and accurate handling. The proceeds from items brought in are deposited by us in a Third-Party Funds Foundation to guarantee payment to the consignors. The general terms and conditions drawn up by the Federation TMV apply to the consignment. These can be downloaded from our website.

Our team

Albert Keddeman (1965)

I have been working at Derksen Auction House since 1982. As a certified Registered Appraiser and Auctioneer, I focus on appraising and auctioning movable property such as art and antiques. My aim is to organize even more special auctions, together with our team and with you, the public, where we do our utmost to achieve excellent results.

Liesbeth Keddeman Weenk (1967)

In 2009, I made the switch to Derksen Auction House. I mainly focus on administration and the gold and silver, also known as the treasure chamber. I can also indulge in one of my hobbies, flower arranging, to my heart’s content at work during the viewing days. My experience within our auction house is that all goods entrusted to us are handled with care and dedication, as if they were our own. It is wonderful to know that, as an auction house, we are committed to giving all these used goods a new purpose in a sustainable way. I am happy to be part of our great team.

Harm Zonnenberg (1963)

I started working at Derksen Auction House in 1988. The friendly atmosphere, working with pleasant colleagues, and helping customers give me energy. Customer friendliness, providing good service, and giving advice are of paramount importance to me. I appraise goods, including many small items, that enter the auction house for suitability. After approval, I ensure that the goods are entered into the auction system and provided with a QR code. Afterwards, photos are taken of them, and they are temporarily placed in storage until they reach their final location in the auction halls, where they are displayed during the viewing days.

Bob Slotboom (1988)

I have been working at the auction company since 2010. What started as hiring as a self-employed professional has grown into a wide range of activities as a permanent employee. Whether it involves the transport itself, an clearance, researching an object, taking and editing photos, or bringing down the hammer during the auction, this cycle, which starts anew every time, keeps the work enjoyable and challenging.

Peter Weenk (1989)

After several years as an employee during viewing days and auctions, I have been a full-time member of the Derksen Veilingbedrijf team since 2015. I enjoy taking and editing photos of the goods during the preparation for the auctions. During the auctions, I sit next to the auctioneer to capture everything going under the hammer, have telephone contact with customers who wish to bid, and assist with the presentation of the goods.

Tim van Merwijk (1987)

Since May 2019, I have been working at Derksen Auction House from Tuesday to Friday. The diversity of tasks really appeals to me. Whether it is ensuring the perfect photo of a product or speaking pleasantly with a client during an appraisal, I will always give my all to achieve the best possible result. It gives me a huge thrill that the most extraordinary items pass by every single day. It makes it all the more exciting to see what they will fetch at auction. With our well-organized team, we will certainly do everything we can to meet the client’s wishes.

Marcel Viset (1972)

I started working at Derksen Veilingbedrijf in the summer of 2018. For me, this is a real dream job! The variety of tasks, the extensive customer contact, and the beautiful, old, special, and sometimes quirky items that come into my hands make every day a surprise. From collecting the goods, displaying and photographing them, to packing and delivery—I experience every part of the process. And all this in a pleasant team that works well together.

Martin Klein (1995)

I started working at Derksen Auction House in 2022. Every day, I come across all kinds of special objects. Whether it is an antique cabinet, a beautiful painting, furniture by a famous designer, or something else, you never get bored here. I learn something new every time, and that is what makes my work so interesting! With our small, close-knit team, we organize five auctions a year, and there is a lot involved. For me, that means: collecting items, photographing, setting up, operating the online auction platforms, packing for shipping, and much more. So, it is incredibly diverse! That is why I go to work with pleasure every morning.

Bento Winants (2005)

In June 2023, I started as a holiday worker at Derksen Veilingbedrijf, my dream job. I feel completely at home with Albert and Liesbeth and all the other colleagues. The team is very close-knit. I really enjoy this work because it has a lot in common with my hobby and because it is varied work. I like picking up items with the truck and also taking photos. Actually, all the tasks I do are great. I go to work in the morning with a smile, and when I go home, the smile is sometimes even bigger. I therefore hope that I may and can continue working here for a long time.

Henriëtte Lubbers Zonnenberg (1960)

Following the passing of her colleague, I had the privilege of standing alongside Liesbeth in the treasure room for the first time during the viewing days in April 2018. Over the past few years, we have become a great team; we arrange the display cases together, and during the viewing days, you will see me standing amidst all the shine and glitter of the silver and jewelry. I enjoy opening the display cases for visitors to show the items and let them try on the jewelry. The viewing days are a real treat for me, and I have great admiration for all the colleagues who manage to make everything look so beautiful every time!
